Welcome
Arts Rally July 31
Are the arts a "vocal minority?"
Arts Rally July 31
At JC Arts we don't think so!
But as public funding decisions are made the question has been raised about whether or not the arts are really worth funding. Since 2005 when JC Arts received its first contribution of public funding and became a "Public Arts Facility" we have proven that the arts are a tremendously important part of our community.
This rally will be big step in proving that the arts are here and this community, despite difficult financial times, expects our elected officials to keep the arts alive and growing.(Click here to see a list of the candidates for the 65th District, the House of Representative, the Senate, for Governor who have committed to attending and speaking at the rally) We believe that the arts, rather than being a drain on the community add to to its culture, it's quality of life AND ITS ECONOMIC BASE! (Click here to learn more about the economic impact the arts have in Junction City)Is that not what we are all concerned about - the funding? We return much more to the economy than we have ever taken in public funding.
If you support the arts in way, you can be part of what is shaping up to be a huge event and an event that may possibly change the way this community views the arts.
We have mimes, jugglers, jazz, folk music, alternative music, visual arts, break dancers, cultural arts and a whole lot more already signed up. To be part of this great event call JC Arts at 785-762-2581and lets talk about how you can participate. You can also click here and send us a message

The Junction City Arts Council has worked with the Arts Coalition to prepare a proposal to bring to the Junction City Commission as a potential dedicated source of funding for the arts.
