In eight hands-on classes, children learn about great artists
and create art in the styles of these famous sculptors and painters:
Alexander Calder
Louise Nevelson
Henri Matisse
Marcel Duchamp
Ana Mendieta
Classes will not meet on any day that USD 475 has an unscheduled cancellation
of classes.
Grades:
Tuesday: Kindergarten through Second, 4 p.m.
Wednesday: Third through fifth, 4 p.m.
Cost: $50 for the 8-week course
Please go over the following rules with your child.
1. Children may bring snacks and drinks. They are not required to share.
All food and drink must be put away at the start of the class, where
it will stay for the remainder of the class.
2. No gum in the studio or the gallery.
3. If any child has behavioral issues, the instructor shall call the
parent or emergency contact to have the child removed. It will be up
to the instructors to decide if the child may come back.
4. This is an art class; we will be using paint, chalk, pastels and
other messy things. Please have your child dress appropriately. Either
bring a smock or, clothes to change into, or wear clothes that are ok
to get a little paint on. The Arts Council and the volunteers are not
responsible for clothing that gets painted or otherwise dirty or stained.
