Gallery Walks
The Junction City Arts Council hosts two gallery walks a year. Because Junction City’s downtown is a little short of art galleries, the merchants open their doors to the participating artists.
The Gallery Walk always in the 600 and 700 blocks of North Washington Street and in the 100 block East and 100 block West Seventh St. We had tried expanding the walk into the 800 block of N. Washington, but found that guests were not inclined to walk that far.
Each participating merchant will keep his doors open until at least 8 p.m. the day of the walk.
At each stop, visitors can browse the store, visit with the artist, and enjoy hor ‘d ouevers.
The artist participants run the gamut of professional, semi-professional and amateur artists. At the JCAC we believe in highlighting the established artists as well as promoting the talents of the up-and-coming artists.
